Understanding the CAGR Calculator Tabs
Our CAGR calculator has three distinct modes to suit your specific needs. Simply click on a tab to switch between them.
1. Standard CAGR calculator This is the most common use case. Use this tab when you know the starting value, ending value, and the total number of years your money was invested.
- Starting Value: The initial amount of your investment.
- Ending Value: The value of the investment at the end of the period.
- Years: The total number of years the investment was held.
2. Exact Dates For a more precise calculation, use this tab when you know the exact start and end dates of your investment. The calculator will determine the precise duration in years (including fractions of a year) for you.
- Starting Value: The initial amount of your investment.
- Ending Value: The value of the investment at the end of the period.
- Start Date & End Date: Use the date pickers to select the exact dates.
3. Calculate Future Value This tab works in reverse. If you have a target growth rate in mind, you can use it to project the future value of your investment.
- Starting Value: The initial amount of your investment.
- CAGR (%): The annual growth rate you expect to achieve.
- Duration: Enter the total time you plan to invest, broken down by Years, Months, and Days.
